A proud Texan, Jacob was born in San Marcos, raised in Kyle, and graduated from Hays High School in 2014. He comes from humble roots as a first-generation college graduate and first-generation attorney. Jacob's work ethic and drive to be successful for his clients were fostered through his family. His paternal grandparents migrated from Texas to Idaho in search of hard work and better opportunities for their ten children. Jacob's maternal grandparents migrated from Texas to Michigan for the same reason. By a twist of fate, Jacob's parents ended up in San Marcos where they met; and the rest is history.

Jacob earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in English from Texas Tech University in 2018 and his law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2021.

Prior to opening Abrego Law Firm, Jacob cut his teeth litigating personal injury cases in every corner of Texas, and did not shy away from trial when the insurance companies refused to settle. Jacob has taken hundreds of depositions, conducted hundreds of mediations, and has a knack for articulating unique arguments despite circumstances not always being in his cases' favor. At his prior firm, Jacob was a "Swiss Army Knife," often getting assigned some of the most difficult liability and coverage issue cases. In many of those cases, Jacob found paths to recovery and secured favorable settlements for his clients. He even handled his own appeal in the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals after a bad summary judgment ruling, with the case settling later at mediation. Jacob has recovered millions of dollars for his clients and knows what it takes to get there.

While the firm's primary focus is in personal injury, Jacob has created a docket dedicated to representing individuals and businesses in various civil matters. Specifically, this docket focuses on specialized tort defense, litigation services, and various transactional matters.
